Returning after a triumphant year – the 2008 PokerNews Cup Australia is set to rock our shores this October 12-20 as it makes its appearance yet again at the Southern Hemisphere’s premiere poker venue, the Crown Casino, Melbourne.

With a first place guaranteed payout of $250,000, this years event will once again draw the biggest and brightest names in the poker world to Crown's lavishly appointed Poker arena.”
A total of eight events have been lined up with buy-ins ranging from $175 to $2,200 (Main Event). Last October saw the inaugural PokerNews Cup welcome 1,500 contenders from 22 different countries with a total of $1.5 Million in prizes distributed.
An extensive list of freerolls are on their way to you, as well as a massive Satellite Series. Basic Packages are set to cover accommodation, Main Event entry, party invites, player merchandise and cash for travel, with Deluxe Packages offering all this plus access to excursions and cruises. All in all, PokerNews will be giving away at least $625,000 in packages.
