4. Three PokerNetwork'ers heading to the WSOP with Team PokerNews
If you haven’t already heard, Team PokerNews is being overrun with PokerNetwork players – who have taken three of the seven WSOP packages that have been contested. South Australia’s Vincenzo Moro qualified through CD Poker on March 26th. The 2001 Australasian Draw champion also cashed at the 2005 Victorian Champs Main Event and has a great chance to do well.
PokerNetwork regular Jonny Vincent (better known as Yoyo) qualified through Titan Poker in bizarre fashion, actually coming second but receiving the package when the winner realised he was involved in a wedding the same weekend as the WSOP main event. Having made two final tables at the recent Melbourne Champs, Jonny is definitely in form heading to his first WSOP.
The most recent qualifier was Damien Carroll from Sydney who won his seat through CD Poker on April 29th. As one of the organisers of the weekly Australian League of Champions, Damien is also well known to PokerNetworkers and we wish him the best in Vegas.

7. Player of the Month/Young Gun of the Month – April
The Player of the Month award for April goes to Ken Eastwood. Ken won the opening $175 NLHE event at the Melb Champs and followed it up with a final table appearance in the $125 NLHE tourney later that week. Young Gun of the Month is man of the moment Eric Assadourian. Eric finished tenth in the Hot Shots event at the Melbourne Champs and then went on to win the Main Event, outlasting a field of quality players with his aggressive and fearless play.
8. The PokerNetwork Bad Beat Award
An easy winner this week – Alan Goodrum, winner of the NZ champs Main Event, the Peter Peko Memorial and an Aussie Millions 2007 seat, playing $500NL at Crown. Alan, who has about $3000, limps with 22 and the flop comes down 2-2-K, giving Alan quads. The money goes all in on the turn and his opponent flips over KK for a full house. The river….a one-outer king!!
9. Pokerbok Joins Full Tilt Team
PokerNetwork regular Mark Vos (pokerbok) has accepted an offer from Full Tilt Poker to be part of their Full Tilt Pro team. So, the "pokerbok" handle has now been retired and the red name of "Mark Vos" is now frequenting the no-limit tables. We are still waiting to see his custom avatar! Congratulations Mark! See the PokerNetwork noticeboard.
