Competition is good for the consumer. No where is this more true right now than online poker. With tons of rooms struggling to grab more market share, the big winners are always going to be the players. Even the world’s biggest room is getting in on the act this year with an innovative promotion for their World Series of Poker satellites.
Already renowned as one of the biggest satellite providers to live tournaments the world over, PokerStars is looking to send another massive team to the WSOP this year, and they want you to be apart of it.
To give all players a boost coming into the World Series of Poker satellite season, PokerStars are offering a 20% Reload Bonus up to $120 for all existing and new customers in addition to an exclusive welcome bonus if you sign up through PokerNetwork. To receive the reload bonus players must make a deposit between 14:00 ET on April 21 and 23:59 ET on April 30 using the bonus code 09series.
In 2008 PokerStars sent 2,000 online qualifiers to the biggest tournament on the poker calendar, and the search for the next Peter Eastgate (2008 Main Event winner) begins now.
As is the trend in 2009, online poker sites are going that extra mile to ensure that players are rewarded further when qualifying for the WSOP Main Event.
All PokerStars qualifiers who agree to wear PokerStars sponsorship for the duration of the 2009 WSOP Main Event will be credited with 100,000 VIP Player Points, making that player an instant Supernova VIP, and dramatically improving their chance of qualifying for Supernova Elite VIP status.
The popular $1 million cash bonus is also back for any PokerStars qualifier who happens to win the Main Event.
Non content to stop there, PokerStars will also be holding a series of live freeroll tournaments in Las Vegas during the World Series of Poker, along with one online freeroll that will give away a total of $1 million in prizes to players who won their package through PokerStars.
The complete PokerStars package includes Main Event buy-in, hotel accommodations and $1,000 in cash for expenses. It also gets players a double pass to the Team PokerStars WSOP Party, which is one of the hottest tickets in town if you believe some of the PokerNews bloggers who went to Vegas last year.
2009 World Series of Poker qualifiers are running right now and include cash and Frequent Player Point (FPP) options from as little as $2.20 or 40 FPP. Steps qualifiers are also available from $7.50.
