It was only fitting that PokerStars would announce their latest edition of the “Ladies Luxury Poker Club” in the same week as International Women's Day.

The PokerStars Luxury Ladies Poker Club is aimed at increasing the participation by women in large buy-in poker tournaments. As the name suggests, they are open to only the fairer sex.

The latest event is set to be held in Monaco will see participants engage in a unique training camp experience at Team PokerStars Pro Vanessa Rousso's Ladies Bootcamp. Of course this boost camp will boast more make-up and spa treatments and less blood and hard knocks, but the ladies will get a first-class poker education all the same. At the conclusion of the training school they will get to put their new knowledge right to the test in the big buy-in €1,100 Ladies Tournament.

All Ladies Poker Club packages come with a generous travel allowance and a women’s gift bag bursting at the seams with luxury items. One could expect to pay over €3,500 for the value of the package, not to mention the money-can’t-buy training, but ladies the world over can qualify for free on PokerStars.

In addition to a first class learning experience, participants in the Monaco Poker Club will feel totally relaxed in luxurious surroundings for five glamorous nights at the Columbus Monaco hotel. In between therapeutic treatments at the prestigious Les Thermes Marins Spa inside the hotel and they can explore the beauty of Monaco.

Two successful Ladies Poker Club events have already been held at PokerStars Tour stops – the 2009 EPT London poker festival and the 2010 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure. The latest edition will take place at the PokerStars European Poker Tour (EPT) Grand Final in Monte Carlo from April 27 - May 2, 2010.
