The EPT, the NAPT, the Caribbean Poker Tour? Who cares which tour the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure belongs to; just know that if you play poker, you should be there.
PokerStars has released the full schedule of the PCA which gets underway in just 90 days. January 6 will see the world’s best players converge on the Atlantis Resort and Casino in The Bahamas for a massive 47 official events, along with side action including sit n goes, cash games, and other minor tournaments.
The tournament schedule is bustling and resembling a live version of the PokerStars online tournament lobby. There are nightly turbos, high rollers, battle ship poker, FIPLE draw, eight game tourneys; you think it up the chances are, they are playing it at the PCA.
Highlights of the schedule include the $10,300 Main Event that will bring out the most promising American players under 21 to make their debuts against a full field of the usual suspects. There is also the $5,250 Heads Up Championship, the $5,250 Six Max, a High Roller event with a $25,000 buy-in, a $5,250 Bounty Shootout and a $5,250 Eight Game Championship. All of these events are crammed into the space of 11 days. There is also time to get a little whacky with Chinese Poker, Fiple Draw (A-5, 2-7, Badugi, Baduci, and Badacey), HOE, and any combination of pre-post limit mixed game action that you can fathom.
The PCA has also potentially cut into the Aussie Millions action a bit by coming up with a $100,000 buy-in Super High Roller event. The Aussie Millions has been famous for its $100,000 event in the past and will run the 2011 edition less than a month after the PCA run their nose-bleed stakes event. It will be interesting to see if the Poker economy can muster up for two separate six figure buyins within such a short time frame.
The PCA is a crazy schedule with lots of big tournament action, mixed with the sun and sand of the Bahamas. It always brings a monster field to the felt and we’re keen for you to get there too. Satellite action is going right now and PokerNetwork is stumping up to get you one of three PCA packages in our freerolls at PokerStars. There are also three $15,000 exclusive Sunday Million Freerolls going and you can win enough in that tourney to ball it to the Bahamas, right back to Crown! Get over to PokerStars now to start earning FPPs and building your bankroll for an all out assault on the PCA satellites.
