Full Tilt Poker and the National Poker League (NPL) have joined forces to bring Aussie players a massive $500,000 tournament known as the Full Tilt Poker 500. The event will be held in Sydney from August 5th to 8th 2010 the field will be limited to just 250 players with entry via qualification only!
No direct buy-ins for this one! You’ll have to qualify through NPL satellites that are running around the country or through special online poker events at Full Tilt Poker.
Each Sunday at 9pm AEST Full Tilt Poker will be hosting a $50+$5 online qualifier with one $2,800 package guaranteed. Sub-satellites into this weekly qualifier are run throughout the week. You can find the qualifiers in the Full Tilt Poker lobby under Tournaments à Live Events à FTP 500 Qualifier. This event is perfect for Aussies who aren’t going to the WSOP and are looking for the opportunity to compete for a huge prize pool without needing a big bankroll to buy in.
Based on a full field of 250 players, the top 25 players will lock in a minimum of $1,000 in cash with first place set to collect an amazing $250,000 in cash and prizes including, brand new car, WSOP Main Event ticket and Aussie Millions Main Event ticket!
