Qualify For The PokerStars Million Dollar Challenge

The PokerStars Million Dollar Challenge was a huge success last year, and this success means the Million Dollar Challenge will be returning for yet another season.

This season’s Million Dollar Challenge will feature five celebrity defenders who will be trying to prevent contestants from winning. The five celebrity defenders are NFL Hall of Fame quarterback John Elway, model and TV personality Brooke Burke, Playboy Playmate of the Year Sara Jean Underwood, former NBA all-star guard Gary Payton, and NFL Hall of Fame running back Barry Sanders.

As mentioned before, these defenders will be trying to keep contestants from winning cash and prizes. Contestants will play celebrities in heads-up poker matches during the first round of the Million Dollar Challenge; anybody who beats a celebrity in Round 1 will win a 2011 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure in the Bahamas trip.

The second round will put contestants in an isolation booth with Daniel Negreanu where only the contestant can hear his coaching. And players will definitely need this coaching since they’ll be facing off against Team PokerStars pros like Barry Greenstein, Chris Moneymaker, Vanessa Rousso, Jason Mercier, and David Williams. Assuming a player wins here, they can either keep $25,000 or play Daniel Negreanu heads-up for $100,000. If you’re good enough to beat Negreanu in Round 3, you will pocket the $100,000 and move to the tournament of champions where $1 million awaits!

Those who want to be a part of the Million Dollar Challenge should start playing in Million Dollar Challenge freerolls at PokerStars now.
