Shane Warne Foundation Charity Event & Auction

Posted at 09:50 2008-10-29
It wasn’t a normal Monday evening at the Crown Casino, as the poker room was full of celebrities, media and VIP’s for the Shane Warne Foundation Charity Evening. Some of the well known attendees included Joe Hachem, Tony G, Billy “The Croc” Argyros, Jeff Fenech, Brendan Fevola, Dave Hughes, Dermot Brereton, Tottie Goldsmith and Jon Stevens.
With a $1,000 buy-in and a first place prize of $25,000 up for grabs, there was some serious (and plenty of not-so serious) poker action around the room. Warney himself was right in the middle of things, and demonstrated his much improved poker skills with a final table showing.
Of course the evening wasn’t all about poker, but attendees were there to show their support for the Shane Warne Foundation who raise money for charities working with underprivileged children.
The following “money can’t buy” items were up for auction, and wouldn’t you know it but “The G” himself,  Tony G bid and won them ALL:
