The excellent MicroMillions II online poker festival has drawn to a close after the 100 events were completed. The grand finale, the $22 buy-in $1,000,000 guaranteed Main Event, took place over the weekend and it was SoyDelGlobo who walked away with the lion's share of the spoils; $157,218.68 to be exact.
SoyDelGlobo, of Argentina, outlasted an almost unbelievable field of 65,063 runners on his way to victory in Event #100 of MicroMillions II. He finally defeated “Cokars” heads-up to walk away with the biggest slice of the gargantuan $1,302,260 prize pool; all that from a $22 buy-in tournament!
MicroMillions II was extremely popular with low stakes recreational players and hardcore grinders alike thanks to the small buy-ins but massive prize pools, a very tasty combination for sure. Across al events there were a staggering 1,288,221 entries and total prize pools added up to a huge $7,966,209.85, which surpassed the initial $5,000,000 guarantee buy almost three million dollars! A massive congratulations to PokerStars on hosting such a fantastic series.
Although it was Russia who topped the tables of the majority of statistics Australian players produced some excellent figures as you can see below.
