Team Party Poker Makes It A Set of Aussies!

Posted at 19:57 2010-04-27

Party Poker has swooped on another Aussie Millions Champion. After signing 2009 champion Stewart Scott last year, Party was pleased to inform the media of their latest addition to their team of professionals with the signing of 2010 Aussie Millions Main Event champion Tyron Krost.

At just 23, Krost became the envy of many in the poker world scooping AUD$2,000,000 at Crown’s marquee event in January. Krost previously paid his way in life working in a family-owned furniture business but will now go out chasing more glory on the live circuit.

Sponsorship deals have definitely assisted talented players to further their poker careers in the past, and it will be interesting to see what sort of impact this will have on Krost’s career. We will not have to wait long to find out, Krost will debut for Party Poker at the world renowned WPT France, to be held at the lavish Aviation Club in Paris between May 8th – 13th.

The enormity of the opportunity was not lost on the young pro. “It is a dream come true to accept sponsorship. It is fantastic to become a member of Team PartyPoker.com. Winning the Aussie Millions was a crazy experience for me and the security and opportunity it gives me makes me feel hugely confident about the future” said Krost.

Krost becomes the third Aussie signed by PartyPoker, joining the human headline Tony G. As one of PartyPoker’s most high profile players the G took the time to welcome Krost into the Party Poker lineup.

“Tyron crushed the field at the Aussie Millions and it is a pleasure to get him on the team. When I first saw him I thought he may need a trike but now I expect him to be a Tour de Force in the poker world! There is so much more to come from him” said Tony G.
