The 2009 PokerNews Cup Alpine is going to bring together a wealth of Internet qualifiers from all over the world and they will be joining many poker professionals that have already confirmed their attendance at this prestigious event.
Joining PokerNews’ own Tony G will be PokerStars pro Noah Boeken, Absolute Poker pro Liv Boeree and Poker770 pro Tristan Clemenceau. You can also expect to see Full Tilt pros Markus Golser, Sandra Naujoks and local Erich Kollman who took down the 2008 PokerNews Cup Austria event. From this side of the globe, 2008 Asian Poker Tour Champion and ex-Melbournian David Saab has also packed his bags to venture to the Austrian Alps.
The Alpine Palace in Salbaach-Hinterglemm will play host to the 2009 PokerNews Cup Alpine from March 21st to 28th with PokerNews sending a huge contingent of players from a series of satellites and freerolls running across major online poker rooms.
The 2009 PokerNews Cup Alpine will feature seven events include the €1,500 Main Event and the €10,500 High Rollers Pot Limit Omaha as the highlights. However if bad beats start heating you up then venture outside to participate in a huge array of winter sports or make your way to one of the many bars and restaurants scattered within the resort.
However, if you are there for poker, and poker only; the Alpine Palace is holding a private High Roller Cash Game event located at the exclusive Wolf's Hut Ski Lodge. Participants will be chauffeured via snowmobile to this premiere lodge nestled in the Alps and will enjoy VIP service second to none throughout the event.
For those at home that are unable to make the trip to Austria you can still join in on the action by buying a piece of the pros on the world’s leading poker staking site ChipMeUp; including Tony G and David Saab.
It’s not too late to qualify to amazing freeroll packages still up for grabs! We hope to see you there!
