The Sunday Briefing: Jason "TeamWispy" Helder Wins Sunday Million

It was back to business as usual on the virtual felt this weekend as the Sunday Million and Sunday Warm-Up were back up and running following the conclusion of the 2012 World Championship of Online Poker. The day's big winner was Jason "TeamWispy" Helder, winning the Sunday Million outright for $201,962.16. Chris "NigDawG" Brammer was victorious on Sunday, too.

Phil "Jackal69" Shaw (12th - $7,435.68), Janos "szusza84" Toth (44th - $2,509.54), and Lars "Dsavo" Bonding (48th - $2,310.37) all made deep runs in the Sunday Million.

Despite entering the final table with 15 big blinds, Jason "TeamWispy" Helder navigated his way to the heads-up duel with "parrish09," who began the final table with nearly half the chips in play. Helder began with a slight chip lead and despite losing it for a bit, he regained the lead and soon emerged victorious. With {A-Clubs}{4-Clubs}, Helder bested "parrish09's" {7-Spades}{7-Hearts} when the board ran out {5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{2-Spades}{J-Clubs}.
