Whilst the majority of the poker world has their thoughts focussed on the 2012 World Series of Poker Main Event there are some poker players amongst us who are looking forward to what should be a fabulous event at the Treasury Casino, Brisbane.

The Treasury Poker Masters will run between July 12-15 and everyone at the Brisbane is looking forward immensely to hosting this event, the first major tournament to be held at the Treasury since the 2009 ANZPT Brisbane Main Event. On that day the Treasury had to share the event with the Gold Coast but this event is all theirs and they are determined to make it one to remember; and for all the right reasons.

On Thursday 12 July at 12:30 there will be the $1,100 Treasury Poker Masters Main Event's Day 1a. Here players will receive a generous stack of 20,000 chips and play to a great-looking blind structure that starts at just 25/50 and increases every 45-minutes. Anyone who busts out during Day 1a will be able to re-enter on Friday's Day 1b, which also starts at 12:30 sharp; the start time for Days 2 and 3. Please be aware that this fantastic event is going to be capped at just 300 runners so make sure you register nice and early to avoid disappointment.

Along with the eagerly anticipated Main Event there are also a number of side events including a first for the Treasury, a Ladies Only tournament. This event starts at 19:00 on Wednesday 11 July, costs $60 to enter and is going to be capped at 50 entrants. The eventual winner will not only walk away with the lionesses share of the prize pool but will also take home a trophy and have their name written into the Treasury history books.

The Ladies-Only event starts the day before the Main Event whilst the $150 Bounty Hunter takes place on the final day, Sunday 15 July. There will be $25 taken from each buy-in and placed on each entrant's head. Knock out a player and claim their bounty, it really is as simple as that. PokerNetwork staff have played in Bounty events before and can vouch for how fun they are; and they can be quite profitable too.

Get yourself down to the Treasury Casino, Brisbane for the 2012 Treasury Poker Masters. You will not be disappointed.
