Each week we handpick our favorite videos that we've filmed throughout the hallways of the Rio at the 43rd Annual World Series of Poker. If you haven't had a chance to get caught up yet, check out what you've missed.
The Big One
The talk on everyone's lips all week last week was The Big One for One Drop. It was the biggest buy-in poker tournament we've ever seen, costing $1,000,000 to take a seat. And not to mention the biggest first-place prize we've ever seen — $18,346,673. It all went to Antonio Esfandiari, who emerged victorious from the 48-player field.
The first video in this Video Vault is the opening video for this event, which includes two pieces of gold. The first is a quote from one of the "businessmen," claiming that he spent "three weeks earning the money for this event." The second is Esfandiari's vision of winning.
Another for Selbst
This year has been quite a highlight for women. Each time a woman made it to final table of an open event, talks arose about how no woman has won an open-event bracelet since Vanessa Selbst did in 2008. Unfortunately, the women we saw on these open-event final tables didn't quite get there until Selbst came crushing through the $2,500 10-Game Mix — Six-Handed.
This week's look behind the scenes focuses on all the partying. It certainly seems that everyone is doing it!
