WaGe N WaRz has maintained his reign at the top of the PocketFives.com rankings after grinding out more impressive results since the beginning of July. He wasn’t alone in his success this month so far as our grinders had some impressive results on the online and remarkably July 1st was very good day for the Australian Poker Balance Sheet.
WaGe N WaRz had a monster start to July with a Super Sunday which included three four figure scores. He finished 5th in the $100k Guaranteed on PartyPoker for a nice $7,920 and followed that up scooping seventh in the $215 Sunday Second Chance of PokerStars for $6,117. His next big result came on July third in The Hot $55 on PokerStars as he came fourth for $3,926. He added a virtual trophy to his locker then two days later by winning the $15,000 Guaranteed on Party Poker for $4,207. PokerStars was the destination of his next big result as he got $4,449 for his efforts in coming fifth for the $109 No Limit Hold’em Double Chance Turbo. He wrapped up his July so far with a win on the PokerStars $33 No Limit Hold’em with 2 Rebuys and 1 Add-on for $2,325.
One player having a monster month is mjw006. He finished off June by taking down the The Big $162 on PokerStars for $16,328. If that wasn’t enough he grabbed another win on Stars as he won the $215 No Limit Hold’em Turbo for $14,622 the very next day. The $530 Sunday 500 on PokerStars attracted 576 entrants and mjw006 made the final table finishing sixth for $12,750. He was keen to put the new cash to work and bought into the $1,050 Super Tuesday tournament on PokerStars were he finished 12th $5,070. Super Wednesday $30,000 Gtd was on PartyPoker and second place was enough for $5,100. Yesterday he had 10 cashes and the highlight was $5,185 on PokerStars in the $320 No Limit Hold’em for fifth place.
A man on a mission is brownie682 he wrapped up June with a win on PokerStars for $3,089 in the $33 Rebuys. The 1st of July was a big day as he took down the $100 rebuy tournament on the Ongame Network for a massive $21,020. He just missed out on another win the next day as he came second in the PokerStars $109 No Limit Hold’em Turbo for $5,457. This Aussie is definitely a closer and he notched up two more wins first in the Ongame $100 rebuys for $4,792 and then the $44 No Limit Hold’em on PokerStars for $3,716. If brownie682 keeps winning we can expect to see him challenge for the top spot in Australia very soon.
Outside the top four, there were some other notable achievements. Jonathan ”xMONSTERxDONGx” Karamalikis entered the $162 Nightly Fifty Grand and took it down for $10,420. There was another five figure score as tollgate tore up the The Big $109 for a very juicy $17,136. July 1st was a remarkably successful day for Aussies online and another massive prize went to semesa as he finished 2nd on the PokerStars $109 Sunday Kickoff for $17,275. Our 10th ranked player moffo47 hasn’t played that much this month so far but he did manage to squeeze in a five figure payday by finishing 2nd on 888Poker $75,000 Mega Deep for $11,512. Yet again it was July 1st that he added the funds to his online poker account.
