In a first for poker in Australia, poker fans across the country are about to be treated to a brand new poker TV series where YOU can be the star! Australian poker is set to scale new heights with a brand new television series, Australian Poker Hero, starting production.
Australian Poker Hero will provide players across the country the opportunity to become part of television history thanks to Full Tilt Poker.
Australian poker players can qualify to play in the TV series now as Full Tilt Poker commence online qualifiers from 12:30pm AEST on Monday 27 July. To register for these free qualifiers just download Full Tilt Poker and create a new account. Freerolls will be run each and every day from 27 July until November 21st 2009.
The brand new TV concept will bring poker players from across Australia together to compete against each other in weekly qualifiers, which also feature celebrity guests. Players will battle for a share of the weekly $25,000 prize pool.
The winner of each episode will receive a fantastic $15,000 package to the 2010 Aussie Millions - the richest and most prestigious poker tournament in the southern hemisphere - giving winners the chance to win the first prize pool of up to $2.5 million. In addition the winner will collect $10,000 to donate to the charity of their choice.
The ten episode series will screen on the WIN and NBN networks nationally, commencing October 2009. The series will be filmed at Australia’s number one casino, Crown Entertainment Complex.
