Some constructive feedback. Yes, every venture needs time to bed down & adjust & I'm certain Star are working on the issues that have surfaced. But think about these comments within this story:
"passed with flying colours on opening night" .... given the lack of air conditioning (stuffy & hot), only 4 wait staff to service 400 players (who planned that!) and the tables so close together that it was difficult to move for players & staff my take on it was that it should have been better planned.
"world class facility" ..... please, this statement is so far from the truth the PR people at Star should be ashamed.
"star got it right" ....... I think they only got it half right, and that's a shame for poker players. No rail so no ability to see what's going on, still using old bacarat tables not proper poker tables, cramped table surrounds, poor food & drink service, and I'm sure others could add more.
We would all like to see a true world class poker offering. Let's hope Star listens to the feedback for the next room (in 18 months?)
