1. MICK STANTON - Sydney, Australia
Mick and the next 5 entries all won their seats as a result of a super satellite held during the final of the 2003 Main Event. 86 players on this day confirms that most of the 2003 competitors will be back in 2004!.
Mick Stanton is one of a kind - words cannot adequately describe this man, he is one of the great characters of poker in Australia.
Broke through for his first tournament win in 2002 by winning the New Zealand 7 Card Stud Championship.
2. SETH TOWLE - USA
Last year Seth won his way to Crown through Pokerstars, this year he didn't have to wait for an on line satellite!
Seth is an avid poker and backgammon tournament player. Seth was a semi finalist in the 2003 Australasian Championships Heads Up No Limit Holdem Event. Will be great to have you back Seth.
3. MIKE COMER - Sydney
This guy moves around. Started poker in Adelaide many years ago so a huge contributor to the growth of poker in Australia. They even named a tournament after him here at Crown.
In recent years Mike has worked in Russia and presently runs a poker room in Northern Africa.
4. JOE MEISSNER (Sydney)
President of the Australia Poker Association, past World Karate Champion and Strongest Man in the world. Say no more!
5. OWEN MULLEN (Ireland)
Owen finished a very creditable 12th out of 631 in the 2002 World Series of Poker Main Event, picking up a cool USD70,000. Another Irish player whose favourite game is No Limit Holdem!
6. LUCY ROKACH (England)
Lucy stamped her presence on the 2003 Australasian Poker Championships by winning the 5k Pot Limit Omaha. Hit great form at the end of 2002 and a fitting first female entry for Aussie Millions 2004.
7.ULF HANSEN - Norway (now in Melbourne)
Ulf is one of the most consistent high placegetters in our Thursday Freeroll Series - on his 4th attempt in qualifying he has made the grade.
8. "DOGMEAT" GEORGE VASSILOPOULOS - Adelaide, Australia
George, who works as a wholesaler and retailer of pet meat (hence the nickname), is very popular with the staff at Crown and continues to build on the improvement shown in 2003. Not only did George win a seat in the main event, but he also successfully defended his Melbourne Teams Event title!.
9. GARY BENSON - Sydney
WSOP bracelet winner (7 Card Stud) and multiple tournament winner in Australia.
10. LEE NELSON - New Zealand
Kiwi based American Lee Nelson is no stranger to major poker championships and is a previous title winner at Crown.
