Daniel Botta Wins Joe Hachem Deep Stack Series Main Event ($100,000)

Written by thkcduckworth, 2009 03 23 05:41 pm EST

Three hours would be all that was needed to see Daniel Botta crowned Champion of the Joe Hachem Deep Stack Series Main Event!

The Melbournian came to the final table as the chip leader, and for most of the three hours of play it remained that way.

Sam Higgs and Jack Drake flirted with the lead, but in the end Botta would reach heads-up with a slight advantage over tournament veteran Higgs; and in under thirty minutes it would all be over.

This wraps up our coverage from the Crown Poker Room and the Joe Hachem Deep Stack Series. Thanks to all of the players and Crown staff for making this series a tremendous success once again.

Make sure to join the PokerNetwork team in Sydney as we cover the second ANZPT event live from the Star City Casino.

Until then . . . good luck on the felt and we hope that your Aces hold, your flushes get there and you hit all your sets!
