Aristidou Turns Edmonds

Written by thkcduckworth, 2010 01 16 06:40 pm EST

Peter Aristidou limped from the cutoff and Brendon Edmonds completed from the small blind while Callum Ford checked his option.

Both Edmonds and Ford checked the {K-Spades}{7-Spades}{8-Diamonds} flop to prompt a bet from Aristidou amounting to 2,600. Edmonds called as Ford passed to see the {7-Hearts} fall on the turn.

Edmonds checked again and Aristidou carelessly tossed in a single yellow 5,000 denomination chip to put Edmonds in the tank for nearly two minutes before making the call.

The river landed the {A-Hearts} and once again Edmonds checked to see Aristidou place a bet of 11,000 out in front of his tightly capped cards.

Edmonds deliberated for even longer on this street - nearly four minutes - before making the call.

Aristidou flipped over his {6-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for a turned set of trips to take in the pot and move to 60,000 as Edmonds slips to 77,000 in chips.

Gorr Triples

Written by thkcduckworth, 2010 01 16 06:30 pm EST

David Gorr has found a triple up when his {8-Spades}{7-Spades} straighten out against two players on a final board of {5-Spades}{5-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{3-Spades}.

Putt Triples

Written by thkcduckworth, 2010 01 16 06:10 pm EST

Graeme 'Kiwi G' Putt has found a huge triple up.

After all the money went in preflop it was Putt in great shape holding {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds} against a player with {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs} and {10-?}{10-?}.

Once the board of {3-Clubs}{6-Spades}{2-Spades}{Q-Spades}{J-Spades} was spread, Putt raked in the pot to climb to 48,000 in chips.

Edmonds Loves The Ladies (Again)

Written by thkcduckworth, 2010 01 16 06:02 pm EST

With a raise to 3,500 ahead of him, Brendon Edmonds made it 9,800 to go before his opponent on the button pushed all in for 28,000.

The original raiser passed while Edmonds made the call tabling {Q-Clubs}{Q-Spades} to be in great shape against his opponent's {2-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}.

Once the final board of {10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{10-Clubs} was spread, Edmonds raked in the pot to send his opponent to the rail while soaring to 97,000 in chips.

Coincidently, this is the second time in the day where Edmonds has scooped a big pot holding Queens . . . we do know he is from Sydney . . . but unsure of whether or not it's Kings Cross!

Fortunate Ford

Written by thkcduckworth, 2010 01 16 05:27 pm EST

With a raise to 2,100 from the hi-jack in front of him, Callum Ford moved all in for 17,575.

After nearly three minutes in the tank the original raiser made the call.

"You got Ace-Queen?" asked Ford as he rolled his {K-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} to be dominated by the before mentioned {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}.

Fortunately for Ford the board ran out {K-Spades}{J-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{7-Diamonds} to see him net a double to over 36,000 in chips.

As Ford raked in the pot it was brought to our attention that a King had been exposed before he came to his decision of moving all in.

Croc Crunched

Written by thkcduckworth, 2010 01 16 05:17 pm EST

Billy 'The Croc' Argyros has been at the wrong end of an ugly four-flush combination.

Both players had Aces, but unfortunately Argyros can add another bad beat story to the collection after having his Aces cracked to put him on the rail.

Gurung Doubles

Written by thkcduckworth, 2010 01 16 05:11 pm EST

On a flop of {10-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} Milan Gurung check-raised all in against Jim Ververis, who quickly made the call after committing most of his chips.

Gurung: {3-Spades}{3-Hearts}
Ververis: {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}

The turn and river landed the {j-Clubs} and {10-Hearts} to see Gurung double through to 30,000 and leave Ververis peddling the short stack.
