Tran Semi-Bluffs Kingston

Written by thkcduckworth, 2010 01 18 02:30 am EST

Anthony Kingston made it 125,000 from the small blind and Trung Tran made the call from the large.

Kingston fired out 150,000 on the {J-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{4-Spades} flop in which Tran called before being met with a check once the {9-Spades} landed.

Tran thought for a moment before moving all in for 500,000 to force a quick fold from Kingston.

As Tran raked in the pot to climb over one million in chips he tabled his {7-Spades}{6-Diamonds} for a semi-bluff.

Written by thkcduckworth, 2010 01 18 02:24 am EST

Jim Mastorakos opened to 115,000 only to have Brendan Edmonds three-bet to 290,000 from out of the blinds.

Mastorakos made the call and when the flop fell {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}{4-Hearts} he was faced with a bet for his tournament life.

After a few minutes of deliberation Mastorakos made the call and tabled his {Q-Hearts}{3-Hearts} to be drawing against Edmond's {A-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}.

The turn and river blanked out with the {5-Clubs} and {3-Clubs} falling to see Mastorakos eliminated in 8th place as Edmonds climbs to 3,700,000 in chips.

Written by thkcduckworth, 2010 01 18 01:12 am EST

Trung Tran entered the pot with a raise to 100,000 from the hi-jack, but was soon faced with a re-raise to 175,000 from Glenn Croft next to speak.

Tran made the call before check-calling 175,000 on the {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} flop to see the {K-Hearts} land on the turn and another check from Tran follow.

Croft cut out a bet of 300,000, and after nearly three minutes in the tank, Tran laid his hand down to see Croft climb to 2,000,000 in chips.

Anthony Kingston made it 105,000 to go before Trung Tran bumped the action to 250,000 from the button.

Kingston made the call to see a {2-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} flop fall and, after checking, an all in push from Tran amounting to roughly 640,000.

After a few moments of deliberation, Kingston laid his hand down to see the pot pushed to Tran as he chipped up to nearly 1,200,000 in chips.

Wilt Leaking

Written by thkcduckworth, 2010 01 18 12:52 am EST

With the action on Aaron Wilt in the cutoff he made it 80,000 to go only to have Brent Thomas bump it to 165,000 from the small blind.

Wilt made the call but instantly folded to Thomas' all in on the {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{7-Spades} flop to slip to 1,200,000 as Thomas climbs to 530,000.

Easily one of the most experienced players on the table, Wilt has been three-bet a few times on the final table, but is showing an obvious display of patience and confidence as he looks to claim the first event of the 2010 Aussie Millions.

Sam Vakili Eliminated In 10th Place ($11,430)

Written by thkcduckworth, 2010 01 18 12:36 am EST

Anthony Kingston opened to 100,000 only to have Sam Vakili move all in. Kingston made the call and the cards were tabled.

Kingston: {2-Clubs}{2-Hearts}
Vakili: {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}

The flop of {2-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} put Kingston well ahead after striking gold, and when the turn and river fell the {7-Hearts} and {j-Diamonds}, we lost our first final table victim.

Rawiller Doubles

Written by thkcduckworth, 2010 01 18 12:32 am EST

With the action folding round to Brad Rawiller in the small blind, he moved all in for 227,000. Brent Thomas made the call from the big blind and we have our first all in confrontation of the Final Table.

Rawiller: {A-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}
Thomas: {A-Spades}{5-Spades}

Although Rawiller would have to sweat it out on a board of {Q-Spades}{10-Spades}{6-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}, he would manage to double up to over 450,000 in chips.
