It’s been a while since i’ve written up a lock of the week, but we’ll get back to it this weekend.

I’m liking the Titans at the even money quote if you can get it and would even bet them at $1.95 tonight against the Brisbane Broncos. The Titans will be on the road, not that it is a big trip up the motorway or anything, but we’re talking about two teams who are in very situations at the moment.

Everyone knows the best time to head to Penrith is the early hours of Sunday morning when the cavalcade of teenage mum’s that have been drinking steadily at Panthers Leagues Club are looking for any man with a pulse and enough change for a cab ride.

Might have to make the trek out the M4 a little earlier this weekend with the Penrith Panthers and Wests Tigers slated to do battle at 5:30pm on Saturday Afternoon. The best out West will fittingly be crowned at Penrith’s CUA stadium.

There is no better feeling than picking out a selection that has been “undervalued” by the bookmakers, plonking a packet on it, and collecting a crushing victory. Sports betting can also spice up a boring game, or make a contest interesting, despite not have allegiances to either team. Of course it doesn’t always go to plan, but with enough research and practice, you can be picking off a little value against the books.

So my last lock of the week got the cash, let’s see if we can go streaking with another Ice Hockey underdog.

Wednesday morning will see the Tampa Bay Lightning (25-21-11) host the Vancouver Canucks (35-20-2). Both teams have been on the up of late with the Canucks winning eight of their last ten, while Tampa Bay have claimed seven wins in their last ten.

Duff’s Lock of the Week: The Perfect Storm

As promised on the PokerNetwork Sports Betting Show, I've gone and found an Ice Hockey pick for the NHL action on Sunday morning (Australian time). I'm going to take one of the worst teams in the NHL, as they play host to the best team in hockey. The play I like may sound a little whacky, but there are reasons for it.

I'm going to be on the Carolina Hurricanes (18-28-7) tomorrow against the Chicago Blackhawks (37-13-4). This may seem like suicide until you look a little deeper.

Duff’s Lock of the Week: It's Sydney in the A-League

While I’ve been lucky enough so far this year to profit on the A-League, I think that Soccer betting is not my strongest suit, and it’s probably the hardest way to make an easy living. That said, with a tough lineup of games in the NFL and no College Football action, I’ve been forced to look a little further afield for my Lock of the Week.

Hence this week’s pick comes from the local Hyundai A-League.
