On a flop of , Gus Hansen checked from the big blind and Sorel Mizzi put out a bet from the under-the-gun position. Hansen then sprung to life with a check-raise to around 92,000, Mizzi moved all in, and Hansen snap-called.
In the last hand before the break, Tony Bloom was all in preflop holding and behind the of Sorel Mizzi. The flop put Bloom even further behind, but the turn did give him some hope as he could make a straight with a king on the river.
Action folded to Gus Hansen in the hijack and he raised to 51,000. Sorel Mizzi was next to act and opted to move all in for 234,000. The button and blinds got out of the way, while Hansen made the call.
The last hand dealt before the break took about eight minutes or so into the break due to Gus Hansen tanking to a flop shove from Tony Bloom. Bloom opened preflop to 28,000 and Hansen called on the button.
