Re: Online cash grinding questions

Forget about sessions.

Even judging how you are doing over a 10k stretch will be variable (although maybe not so much at 10NL).

Generally measure in bb/100 (big blinds per 100) or ptBB/100 (poker tracker big bets per 100 - originated in Limit Holdem), anything positive is good.

Move up when you meet your Bankroll requirements for the next level, move down if you lose enough that you are not rolled for your current level.

Rinse/Repeat.

Look at the link I posted, explains what the SB pushing range should be (v. wide).

it is really an ICM fold, but i dont know if i ever make it.
My instinct was to call, ICM seems to indicate a call as well but I'll let someone else check the math.

Depends how many hours a week you play and how many tables.

Using a conservative 10bb/100, it will take you 25k hands of 2NL to reach $100 and then 20k hands of 5NL.

HoldemManager does not work off a central database, so only has hands that you upload. Datamining or purchasing datamined hands is also agains PokerStars T&C's (although difficult for them to detect).

Re: APL Poker Tour VS NPL 500

Quick question for APL Admin.

Previously you justified charging 25% rake on your major events because you were also paying GST, now that your events are all being held in Casinos and presumably GST free, do you feel 25% is still justified?

With the 10 level, 30 minute structure and 10k starting stacks, there really is no need to have 2 Day 2 sessions, as you should easily be down to a manageable number of runners to combine Day 1A and 1B into a single Day 2.

Infact, I think that by having 2 Day 2s, you will find that you are effectively playing down to just a handful of tables each. It's going to be almost like playing 2 separate tournaments.

By playing a full, single, day 2 you will still end up with the same number of runners by the end of the day, but it will save the organisation of trying to schedule 2 separate day 2 sittings.

Just a suggestion.

The way I read it was 4 day 1's (just labelled 1A, 1B, 2A, 2B for some bizarre reason) capped at 100 and then combining for a final day.

Rake on FTP for the micros cash is much worse.

whereis the Full Tilt Poker Game #19069065691: $1 + $0.20 is an exaggerated rake and therefore a bad value tourney
ding, I thought highlighting the rake not the buyin would have made that obvious but oh well.

there are $1 games raked at 10%, shop around.

How aware is he? 8x is a larger part of your range than some 9/7 nit.

Any ideas on his limp-call range?

Not sure what good the 8c does you.

If you are behind you are drawing dead on the turn.

sarcastic feedback does fuck all tbh

Wouldnt ask the question if I thought it was black/white..

With 22bb does anyone ever fold for tourney preservation or are we always shoving from behind?

My thoughts:

utg shoves 11bb
I have 22bb
two fish snap call
if I shove OTT for an extra 11bb they are both DEF calling...

I know I am behind pre... utg has been dormant and def holds QQ+

Fish both could have anything... their range was ridic wide but small PPs were their normal calling range or a weaker ace

but I did shove OTT> AdKd
utg shows AA
Fish 1 snaps with 87s
Fish 2 snaps with KQo

Is this now a good shove 4way?

Hand 0: 11.495% 10.92% 00.57% 118591 6241.50 { AdKd }
Hand 1: 57.495% 57.07% 00.43% 619742 4660.50 { AhAs }
Hand 2: 21.496% 21.46% 00.04% 233026 424.50 { 8s7s }
Hand 3: 09.514% 09.33% 00.18% 101317 2005.50 { KcQh }
Need to work out your equity against ranges, UTG will be JJ+, AKo+ at the very worst, could be wider than 88+, AJo+.

Even with those exact hands (don't have stove at work), what is your equity in the 33bb side-pot?

350 big blinds deep, I think I find a fold on the flop.

Definitely fold the turn.

Re: Offering Staking for HU Cash games

What volume would you require people to put in to make it worth while for you?

I would be interested but currently I think work/family commitments would prevent me from playing a suitable volume.

Also would you just consider coaching for a smaller equity split? Don't really need staking.
