| Degen Sports Betting | 2008 12 20 08:54 pm | Had fun last week reading Irish's tale of woe after Hull blew a 2-0 lead and then couldn't even lose the game for him. :-D My value picks went 1/4 last week with Everton the only winner at 3.75 (if all 4 picks were bet even thats a 1.25 unit loss on the week). Nevermind im a degen and always on the horse for another week and with College Bowl Games this week, im betting all week. Be good to get some picks from other people as well - please don't follow my advice unless you hate money. (Im doing this in the hope of getting my own picks critiqued) I got one Premier League pick tonight: I love Aston Villa. Aston Villa is probably my favoruite pick purely because they've won three straight in the EPL, are welcoming players back tonight into their squad and are playing West Ham who are spew no matter where they play. Winning 3 games in eight appearances at home this season. The only thing West Ham has got going for them is an impressive record over Aston Villa at Upton Park (West Ham's home ground) over history, Im thinking Villa is a much better team at the moment then West Ham (given Villa is 4th and West Ham is 16th) and this is why im not putting a lot of stock into the history of the matchup. I gotta check the prices on the College Bowl games but i'll probably have a pick or two here. |

I'm pretty sure those who did read or who were there and witnessed the hand, haven't quite picked themselves up off the floor from laughing yet. A Big Swing Hold'em: Action is capped pre-flop in a three-way pot between James Kronos, Andrew Demetriou, and Clint Wiebenga. The first three community cards come out 7c Th 3h. Kronos leads out with a bet, and Demetriou raises. Action comes around to Wiebenga, and he goes into the tank for several minutes. At two different points, he steps away from the table in frustration, only to be warned by the tournament staff that he needs to remain at his seat with a live hand. After a few, "I can't believe I'm going to fold this" routines, he flips his cards high up into the air, flashing the Kh Kd as they tumble into the muck. With just a few chips remaining, Kronos calls the bet all in, and the two remaining live hands are turned over: Kronos: Ac Ks Demetriou: Js Jd Kronos is at risk of being knocked out, and the turn and river come and respectively, spelling the end for him. Demetriou chips up to about 55,000, and Wiebenga is knocked back to just 5,000. |
