| Most Obscure Sport/League You've Bet | 2010 07 28 09:56 pm | The other thread about books got me thinking about the most obscure thing you've bet on with a bookie: For me it'd be Victorian Premier League Soccer or Queensland Cup Rugby League. I at least knew a little bit about the Rugby League, whereas I had no fking idea about the teams in the Soccer, I just plonked some money down for a hit of action on a Saturday afternoon. :-) For the record the Soccer bet won, with a 91st minute equaliser.  |

| Swapping in Overlaid Tourneys | 2010 07 03 09:50 am | Was talking with a friend about this, and i'm no maths genius, but maybe someone here can confirm. Lets say your playing an overlaid tourney, and for the sake of this exercise the player you are swapping with is of identical ability as yourself (I know this is not actually possible and there are various factors at play, but spitball with me here). Is it more +ev to swap 20% with a player to have a second chance at the overlay? |
