| Lederer vv Elezra Poker After Dark hand | 2009 11 30 10:57 pm | Apologies if this has been posted already, but was catching up on PAD and thought this hand was one of the best I've seen in a ring game. YouTube - Poker After Dark Season 6 Episode 5 1/4 Top Guns Cash Game #1 PAD S06E05 Action starts at 5mins 0secs Lederer is stuck 100k, all of it to Elezra who flopped a set of 8s against Lederer's AA to stack him early. Antonius is stuck 75k. Stack sizes are ~ Lederer 100K (-100), Antonius 175k (-75k off 250k buyin), Elezra 173k (+73k). Blinds 300/600 Folded to Antonius on button who raises to $2100 with Kc9d Lederer calls with JhJc in SB Elezra calls with KsTh in BB Pot: 6300 Flop: Tc 9s 4s Lederer and Elzra check to the raiser Antonius, who also checks. All 3 players have a far stronger hand than they indicate by checking, and Antonius (stuck $75k in the game) shows some great skill by sensing strength and checking behind. K9 would have been routinely bet in this situation on several earlier hands. Turn: 8s Lederer has the best hand with JJ. Elezra has K-high flush and TT with his KsTh. Lederer bets 4k Elezra raises to 12.5k Antonius folds Lederer is in a tough spot here. Folding, calling, raising are all possible options. Elezra has checked the flop then raised the turn. Would be interested to know what people at PNW would do in this situation in Lederer's position? What hand range can Lederer give Elezra? Before reading the outcome, what is his best play here? Damned if I can pick the best play. (Rest of hand below, scroll down) Lederer calls 8.5k River 5s Lederer checks Elezra bets 20k Lederer calls 20k Elezra shows K high flush to win 71k pot. Lederer has lost face with his river call here and the table goes deathly quiet for the next minute. |
