Re: eric assadourian railing the FT of ANZPT 2010 02 15 12:02 pmany player affected by table talk is no player at all in my opinion. Only weak players fall victim to the words of others. Hats off to Eric and any other player who can intimidate within the rules. |
| 2010 02 15 11:52 am I think a few results promised are missing eg The Teams Event The High Rollers Event These results should be automatically listed - not just promised after being requested. |

Re: Chip Me Up Asking for a tip when you win wtf! 2010 01 20 03:40 pmEVERY POKER TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR AROUND THE WORLD ASKS FOR A TIP FOR "STAFF" WHEN YOU WIN AN EVENT.... SOME EVENTS - THE TIP IS CALCULATED AND DEDUCTED FOR YOU !!!! You could always pull the Joe Hachem cicra. 2005 ( win 7.5milliion clams...peel off $100 note from the bundles and hand to the dealer ) ...quote The Hux 2005.... They bank on the fact that you are euphoric and will spread the windfall around. Most people do. This CMU option is merely in line with that worldwide LAND BASED CASINO trend. Big Deal. You can say no at the casino and u can ignore that button online. My grandmother used to say " if you don't ask - you don't get" - she died broke ( obv. ). |
Re: warning winnerpoker not paying 2010 01 20 03:01 pmladyholdem73 you are not alone in this. My cousin sent similar withdrawal wtf emails to them over a month ago He was only chasing like $120. No cigar as yet... Caveat Emptor ftw |
Re: Ethics of looking at other players' cards 2010 01 13 02:41 pmlol @ usual suspect she *may* just be that way inclined its 2010....she may be asking for it, huh? LOLz |
Re: Ethics of looking at other players' cards 2010 01 13 02:22 pmYou should black card. You have a a duty of care -ONLY IF YOU TREAT EVERY LOSER THE SAME WAY. Why her? PS. If she was only losing 200 a day, would you black card her? This begs the question: WHERE DO YOU DRAW THE LINE AND STEP IN AND SAY "YOU HAVE LOST ENOUGH-TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE?" 200? 400? 600? 3000? What of the players losing so much more? The ones that ensure you get a full table and the ones that EVERY player says "hello and goodbye" each time they come and go. My suggestion is let the players play their own way and only black card cheats. Who are you to step in and try stem losses? She may be a billionairess...or more. |
Aussie Millions Champ in court 2009 07 03 02:59 pmA TOP New Zealand poker player has been dragged through the courts by his closest card-playing mate after a big cash haul at a Melbourne casino. Lebanese men Jamil Dia and Constantine Harach used to be the best of friends, playing competitively for years as afar afield as Russia, often agreeing to share each others wins and losses to spread the gambling risk. But all turned sour for the Wellington immigrants at Melbourne's Crown Casino in January 2005 and the saga has been playing out in Kiwi courts ever since. As the facts go, Mr Dia, a bakery owner, won more than NZ$700,000 ($554,000) that day at the casino when he was crowned 2005 Australian poker champion. Mr Harach, a hairdresser, was rankled by the win and has claimed since that they'd agreed this time to share 20 per cent of each other's winnings, a claim denied by Mr Dia. The pair are now locked in a bitter dispute that has ended up in court five times to date, the Dominion Post newspaper reports. Mr Dia appears to have the winning hand this time around, with a District Court judge unconvinced that the two men did have an agreement. But Mr Harach appealed the decision in New Zealand's High Court yesterday, with a decision by Justice Forrie Miller reserved. |

Re: APA Joe Meissner refuses to refund legal fees 2009 05 18 11:51 amNo one is doubting the time and expense put in by Joe. But should the remainder of the APA defendants be liable for his expenses or should the police be? As it stands, all members who contributed to the legal fund have yet to be reimbursed. The money sent to Joe was solely for the players who paid to be represented- not him. |
Re: APA Joe Meissner refuses to refund legal fees 2009 05 15 03:09 pm* bump * still no refunds as at 15/05/09 |
APA Joe Meissner refuses to refund legal fees 2009 05 08 02:27 pmWe are a group of poker enthusiasts that took over the duties from the previous committee that were involved at the time of the 2005 poker raids here in adelaide. After winning the case, the legal costs were awarded back to all involved with lawyer D'Angelo's class action.. These funds were passed on by the lawyers to apa president joe meissner for distribution back to the members. On contacting Joe, we have been told that he "is looking into" the matters and that he himself is "out of pocket." After numerous contacts with joe, he has refused to release any money to any player. That money does not belong to Joe - it belongs to the members. Joe has been told by the lawyers that if he has a personal claim ( expenses) , he is to take it up personally with the police. If anybody is owed money from this court case,(see list below) contact Joe direct on 02-4577-3218 Again, this money is NOT Joe's and belongs to all the players ! Players : Pierre Aoukar Phillip Arcidiacano Glen Athanassiou David Demzcuk Dang Duong Tim Eduard Daniel Farid Peter Friejczk Steve Hegyi Sam Khoiuss Chad Leader Peter Lily Nicolas Lock Giovanni Madaffari Michael Marcos John Moffitt Vincenzo Moro Rayan Nathan Frank Pezzanti Michael Pritchard Jarrad Kent Smith Candace Torres Quang Vinh Tran Tyson Williams |
