| 2010 10 11 04:09 pm For what it is worth please consider some (or even just one) lower buy-in tourneys for locals, most people that are local (by local I mean SEQ) social players wont pay over $500 imo for a buy-in. I know there is not much attraction to holding lower buy-in tourneys as you can't charge a rake but it certainly would get bums on seats and a heap more people to Jupiters. | |
| 2010 10 06 04:29 pm Can someone explain where the poker room is? I was at Jupiters the other day with Mates (who have zero interest in poker) so I didn't go looking for the room. I couldn't see it on the "main" floor. | |
| 2010 10 05 01:18 pm This is good stuff. Will you be utilising the Poker page of the Jupiters website to display information in relation to these tourneys and registration information etc? | |
| 2010 09 30 11:21 am Hi All, You may or may not know about this program but just in case I thought I would share it with you. It is an app for either the iphone or ipad (I have it on the iphone). What it does is allow you to access your home PC from your iphone or ipad. It takes a bit of mucking around (maybe 15 mins or so) and then you are up and running. I am not a real technical person but they way I think it works is that it creates a remote server that allows you to access your computer. As I said, I set it up last night and now I am work and I can play using pokerstars on my iphone. It would work way better with an ipad as the iphone is a bit small. There is a bit of lag time but its not too bad. Once catch i have found is that you need to make sure you leave your computer at home turned on. We have a laptop, so to test it this morning I just left it opened and running. There may be a way around that but I don't know what it is. Anyway I thought it was worth sharing, if you are ever stuck at the inlaws or something like that and want to kill time it is the way forward. I can't see why you wouldn't be able to use it on the bus or train to work. I would only be using it for micro cash games I think in case I lost mobile reception. Its not a cheap app either. It cost me about $30. Cheers Craig | |

Playing on line with your mobile? 2009 07 02 01:19 pmHi All, Do you know if it is possbile to play poker online with your mobile (iphone)? I have an application for poker that lets me play online through "live poker" but it is for play money. Does anyone know of anything that exists where you can play for real money? The actual program works well for the play money, the problem is that it is play money so every tool is on there. Thanks | |

| 2009 03 26 03:27 pm Hi, I have been watching this site for a while now and I am very new to all of this. I have signed up to a few online sites. As I am new to this I am still learning heaps. I have heard of some you talking about rakeback. From what I understand this means that a company will reimburse you a percentage of the rake taken from games you have played in. Is this correct? If so, how does that company get the money and why would they do that? The next question I have is that if I have already signed up on an online site. EG FTP, then can I sign up to a rakeback company or would i have to start all over again and then sign up through the rakeback company? Thanks Craig | |
