Methinks reports of Pokers death were premature 2011 11 24 03:07 pmTo all the trolls that were quick to bury online poker after FTP's collapse - doctor something comes to mind - perhaps retractions and apologies are in order? You only have to look at Stars upcoming 10 yr celebration tourneys to see that they are alive and thriving!! I hope an Aussie young gun can bink the $2m first prize! cheers dw |
| 2011 10 23 02:49 pm Vill in BB - without stats its hard but certainly a worse k is in his range. When he calls flop raise he must have either Kx or maybe a 9 but most would chuck a 9 to a raise. The turn check for pot control also induces - I think we see kj or worse often enough to call. |
| 2011 10 23 11:26 am call river if u dont bet turn |
| 2011 10 09 03:49 pm I think that a fold pre flop saves u the pain. This hand is not strong enough to call here oop. I prefer raising to calling. As played - we have top pair and the nfd on the flop (not naked fd) so we are prob ahead and only losing to a set. If vill is aggro then a raise is warranted or if he is a nit u can call and see what the turn brings. Depending on villians image u can find a fold on the turn - price is so good and seems typical bet of a FH |

| 2011 07 27 09:05 am See post above - disappointed no one asked -"what did u flop to be 100%" Only one answer? |
| 2011 07 26 02:16 pm Hip, while it sounds spewy - putting 60% of your stack in pre - I prefer a call and u can fold a small % of flops - eg 333 or similar. The reason i posted the hand was more to illustrate the lack of value in multiway all in preflop. Doesnt seem to matter what hands are held but it always seems to be 35%, 34% 31% with no one really having enough advantage to beat the rake. ok - u can be lucky enough to strike dominated hands but after losing the last 2 aa v kk v kk "races" its hard to see value in trying to get all in preflop. As more and more people starting 3 and 4 betting light it seems that eventually the rake will be the only winner. Calling pre and winning more than your fair share post seems to be a better strategy. macdaddee shows Kc Ah Ad 7s (Pre 31%, Flop 0.0%, Turn 0.0%) urcashnow shows 6d Kd 5h 9h (Pre 36%, Flop 0.0%, Turn 0.0%) davidwrunner2 shows Qs Ac 9c Js (Pre 33%, Flop 100.0%, Turn 100.0%) The best hand - aces - is least likely to win and the "worst" hand is fav!! |
| 2011 07 26 09:37 am Thanks to all the contrib's for my prev post - my aces were good! This is a strange spot pre - against 2 loose oponents - call or fold - and do u think u could be a fav or a dog. I'm assuming one has aces or kings and the other has almost any 4.
