| two pair vs made straight on the flop, call an all in? | 2008 03 25 09:08 pm | was playing a home game last night against a semi-loose aggressive player I have 10 8 on the button, he calls it's folded to me I call and the blinds call. Flop comes down 8 T 6 rainbow. He then moves all in for about half my stack announcing "guys don't call". He's a player who doesn't lie about his cards, so I basically know he's got a made straight against my 2 pair. the other players fold around to me, should I call here? If I lose i am on a pretty low stack but have enough to still play for a bit. |

Joe pops it up to 50,000 and Grant announces that he is all in. Joe insta-calls, crying "SHIP IT!" as he slams 9 9 on the table for top set. Levy shows K K and will need another miracle to survive.The turn and river come Q Q and Grant Levy busts out in 4th place after another day of world class poker.Chip Counts...Joe Hachem 771000 221000 Greg Raymer 74000 Scotty Nguyen 55000 112000 well at leats the Shane Warne Foundation should be happy tonight.Hachem eliminates Scotty next hand with AA vs A8 and is heads up with Raymer, holding a 832k to 68k chip lead. |

Chris Moneymaker then pushed all in with Ah Qd and Joe makes the call with Th 4h. Levy goes into the tank and eventually lays down Jh 5h face up. The turn was the 4c and the river the 2c and Hachem took down the pot whilst yelling "One Time! One Time!!", eliminating Moneymaker. |
