| Gary Benson charging commission on Stars withdrawals. | 2010 09 02 12:23 pm | Just thought I'd let people know of this as I received no notification prior to this change. Copy/paste of the relevant parts of an email from InterCash: Hi Paul Sorry you must not of received the email about what Poker Stars have done. I have paste it below for you. Dear InterCash user Below is a brief update on the InterCash buy-in and cash-out service. PokerStars After 4 years of PokerStars paying the commission for Australian & New Zealand players on cash-outs through my InterCash service they have recently advised that they will no longer do this after 31 August 2010. The new arrangement will be as follows: Australian and NZ players · PokerStars will continue to pay the commission on behalf of players on all buy-ins through the InterCash service. · InterCash will not charge any commission on cash-outs if your cash-out amount does not exceed the amount you have deposited through InterCash after 31 August 2010 and your cash-out is being sent to an Australian or NZ bank account. · Cash-outs in excess of the amount you have deposited after 31 August 2010 will be charged a commission of 2.5% where your cash-out is being sent to an Australian or NZ bank account. · Where your cash-out is not being sent to an Australian or NZ bank account a premium of 1% will apply. For USD cash a premium of 2% will apply and a discount of .5% will apply if the funds are to be transferred to another site. Non-Australian/NZ players · The general rule is that PokerStars will not permit transfers between either my ‘InterCash’ account or ‘GaryBenson’ account and accounts that aren’t registered in Australia or New Zealand. · A very limited number of exceptions will be “white listed” where the player has difficulty in funding and/or cashing-out from his player account using alternative methods. · Each individual case will be considered on its merits and reasons must be supplied to support your case. · If approved, commission will be applied as detailed above for Australian and NZ players. |

| Very funny youtube chop. | 2010 07 25 10:16 pm | I waste far too much time reading crappy pointless NVG threads, but the occasional gem makes it almost seem worthwhile. YouTube - Best of High Stakes Poker Season 5: Dario Minieri and life in USA |
| Which country has the fishiest players? | 2010 03 30 06:17 pm | There have been a few of this type of thread on 2+2, thought I'd see what PNWers think. For mine, it's viva la France! Yep, those cheese-eating surrender monkeys are the absolute worst. The French are known the world over for berets, baguettes, waving the white flag, and check-shoving the flop in a 3-bet pot with no-pair no-draw. |
| Clearing the 1st deposit bonus on Tilt. | 2010 03 16 02:41 pm | I have an account on Tilt, with rakeback, but I have never deposited. Just after some estimates on how long it would take me to clear the bonus grinding 9-man SNGs at around $10 level. I normally play sets of 6 or 9 (depending how I'm feeling) of the non-turbo games on Stars because achieving a high ROI translates to good scores in the BOP & i've made some good money, relative to the stakes, from that bonus scheme. I would play turbos on Tilt in sets of 9 or 10 to try and clear the bonus quickly. Does rakeback dilute the bonus at all (or vice-versa)? How soft are the turbo 9-mans on Tilt? |
