WOW. Peer v Jankovic game on sportsbet.com.au.
Peer should be fav. but they have some of their handicaps around the wrong way. Peer +1.5 games at 1.83 is great value although they may not pay out. The set handicap is just way too wrong to be paid.
Betting on the WSOP2006 07 12

For a guy like myself who isn't going to be in Vegas for the championships, the closest I am going to get to the action (apart from following some of the great posts on this noticeboard) is to have a bet. Now I know a lot of people will think that having a bet when the field will probably number in the high thousands does not make for a great investment. They may be right. The market that took my eye is Betfair's "Top European" market. Betfair have listed 35 European players who we can choose from to finish highest in this years championship. Only these 35 players count in this market. If none of them make the money then the market is void. The market is currently at about 108% with the odds ranging from $21 to $38. The player who really stood out in this market is Carlos Mortensen. This previous winner of the event is in some pretty good no limit form at these championships:$1500 NL - 9th from a field of 2776$2000 NL - 9th from a field of 1919$1000 NL - currently 13th with 25 remaining from a field of 2891.Two final tables so far and possibly a third coming up. Excellent form.In the field of 35 Europeans, Carlos is currently trading at $32. I think he probably desrves to be favourite in this field and believe $32 is big overs. have "invested" a little at this price.Does anyone else have similar or completely contrary ideas?Have also had a bet on Mark Vos to make the last 10. Probability wise this is maybe a bad bet but Mark also is in good form and if this event was played a hundred times I think he would make the last ten at least once. Current odds of $160 was worth a small bet. Much better value than coughing up the entry fee for myself and it is good to have an interest in a local hope.Anyway, good luck to everyone over there having a crack and also to those having a bet on the result.Paul

What time is the Bluff launch meant to start tonight? Is it in the Vegas Room?
$3 The Field2006 01 18

With 17 of the remaining 36 players and approximately 48% of the chips, I like the $3 on offer for The Field at Mansion. Lots of big stacks included in The Field and 5 of the 6 players on table 7. Some of the players may lack a bit in experience but it appears excellent value and hopefully a number of contenders at the final table.
