| Call or Fold post flop all in holding overpair?? | 2010 06 18 06:53 pm | First hand so no reads at all. Have only just started playing cash games, mainly due to time constraints. What does maxicus normally have in this position??...my two main thoughts were: 1. He has hit top pair with A8 K8 or similar from the small blind and he thinks he is good or, 2. He has binked a set and is good. Or possibly 2 good over cards and trying his luck but i think unlikely against a raiser?? I have seen some crazy sh1te at this level though so nothing would suprise me at all. What do you do? Relatively new to poker and have been reading the Hand Histories regularly for advice but thought it might be time to get some specific feedback. The following hand came up very early in the tourney so no real reads on anybody - think I made the right decision by folding (should perhaps have 'folded pre' lol) as these tourneys are quite a shove fest early and I like to stay out of the way with marginal hands, especially in multi-way pots. Was folding the correct decision?? Even though I would have won this pot I would expect more often than not A9s would not be good enough on the back of 3 re-raises?? Any advice (criticism) welcome.
