Villain in MP calls, as does Hero Flop qs, 4h, js BB bets 35, Villain calls, Hero raise to 110. BB folds, Villain calls (350 pot) Turn 2d Hero bets 120. Villain calls (590 pot) River 6s Villain all in (130 more) Should Hero call here? What could Villain have? Comments on turn play? |

| betting out or check/raising? | 2009 04 23 09:46 am | Crown 2/3 my (UTG) stack 350 EP 300 LP 220 I have KsKc and raise to 18, EP and LP call Flop Kh 3d 5d, I bet 35, EP and LP both call Turn 8 c. I check, intending to c/r (I strongly suspected that EP would bet) EP obliges and bets 30, LP calls, I shove all-in EP folds (he had JJ). LP calls w his remaining 140 or so He hits diamond on the river for nut flush (Ad10d).  I know that the book says that LP doesnt have the value to call in that spot, but this is Crown 2/3. However, I also realise that I am at the mercy of EP/LP with my check on the turn (meaning that everyone is suddenly "priced in" if EP had made it-say- 75). I am also thinking that my hand is too strong to bet out strongly on the turn and have both of them fold. So, what's the most EV+ play here? |
