The 2012 Sydney Poker Championships are in full swing at the Star City Casino and what a series it has been so far. With a couple of events in the bag it is easy to see why this festival was eagerly anticipated as the attendances have been through the roof.
Event #1 saw a bumper field of 825 players, a field that would not have been out of place thousands of miles away in Las Vegas. That event was eventually won by Simon Dwyer who defeated Suzy Khoueis heads-up for the title and the $57,915 first place prize.

Event #2 was the Poker Media $1,000 Special and it certainly was special; at it was special for Antonis Kambouroglou. Kambouroglo was the man who walked away from the Star City Casino with the $25,800 first place prize and bragging rights that come with winning a major live tournament.

The results of Event #4, the $550 No Limit Hold'em Bounty have not been made public yet but as soon as they are we will bring them to you on PokerNetowrk. If you are heading down to the Star City Casino today then you will be able to play in the $550 No Limit Hold'em 6-max event or the $440 No Limit Hold'em Teams event; though the latter of the two is no longer available to register online for.
Good luck to everyone taking part in what should be rather special events.
