There's Less Than A Week Until APPT Melbourne!

In less than one week's time the PokerStars Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT) will be dropping anchor in Melbourne for the latest instalment of its popular tour.

Running between Aug.20 and Sept. 3 APPT Melbourne will call The Crown Poker Room home, a fantastic venue that will host no fewer than 12 official events and a whole host of satellites. 

Kicking off proceedings is a special $100,000 guaranteed No Limit Hold'em tournament that costs just $50 to enter! This one-off tournament will feature eight starting flights and gives players the chance to win a potentially life-changing sum of money for very little outlay at all.

The highlight of the festival is the $5,000 APPT Melbourne Main Event, a tournament that should attract some of the biggest names in the business. Last year's APPT Melbourne Main Event attracted 260 players who created a prize pool of $1,222,000, the lion's share of which was awarded to Leo Boxell who defeated New Zealand's Phillip Wilcocks to get his hands on the much sought after trophy and the $330,000 first place prize.

If the $5,000 buy-in is too much for your bankroll to take do not worry because The Crown are hosting a number of satellites to the Main Event that start at just $85. Add to this the fact satellites are still open on PokerStars and there is no excuse for not trying to get in on the action!
