The next major event on the local poker tournament calendar is the 2009 Melbourne Championships from Australia’s biggest poker room at the Crown Casino in Melbourne.
Over the years the Melbourne Championships has proven to be a breeding ground for some of the best up and coming poker talent in the country. Last year James “Jabba” Broom took down the Main Event title and $134,602 in prize money to cement his place in Australian poker history.
With a full two week schedule from May 17th – June 1st with events for players of all budgets leading up to the $1,100 Main Event, the 2009 Melbourne Championships is set to be bigger and better than ever before!
