Hey guys, Not sure if this is the right section for this but if not then please point me in the right direction.
I am looking at either buying a pre built poker table or getting one made.
I really like the design of 'The Montana Poker Table' at thepokershop.com.au
I got a quote from Rob there and it would be $1500 delivered.
Has anyone bought one of these tables before? or even heard of anyone elses experience with them?
Some questions I have:
- What is the build and material quality like?
- Could I get something simular/better built by a local furniture maker?
- Would you recomend these tables or this shop?
- Is the playing surface flush with the racetrack?
- Is the playing surface as good as the 'suited' poker surface?
- What is the quality of the leather armrest? And is it genuine leather?
- Does anyone have any more pictures of the table?
This table is basically exactly what I want and if I got one custom built locally I would change just a few things:
- A matching table top for it to be converted into a dining table
- Have the 'suited' playing surface with a custom logo and a boarder printed in the center and around the edge
- Have the playing surface flush with the race track so cards don't jump, skip or get caught as they slide past
- Get 10 chairs built to match the table
- Possibly have the cup holders built into the armrest
- Have a slimline hidden drawer built into one of the sides where the pins/studs are and it will hold around 1000 chips as well as 2 decks of cards and a few buttons
Even if no one has seen or heard of the 'Montana' table before, maybe some of you have had a table similar to this or any custom table built and can give me any advice or any info on where to get started and things to be cautious of?
