Why would he not want to play the tournament though?
If its the APPT Sydney, who would really want to turn that down with a million dollar plus first prize?

For others, there are a myriad of reasons to not play as life gets in the way. This guy is a successful businessman who happened to be in Sydney. As it turned out, he was supposed to be sightseeing with his wife that day but his wife didn't feel well so he took himself off to Star City. He saw people lining up so he asked somebody what they were doing and was told about the Monday tournament. So what's a man to do right? So he played in the tournament and the rest is history. But he may not be able to make the AAPT due to business commitments. So I take it from this thread that the Star City rule is that he cannot sell his seat amirite? ~Paul

The APPT, and I'm assuming Star City, follow the similar guidelines for this type of situation.
When a player wins a seat into a tournament they must play that tournament and can only sell a seat once they have one more then one. However the only likely other option is that they allow the player to use his seat in a future APPT event, but therefore still needing to participate in an APPT event. Danny is probably the best contact in this situation.

I'm pretty sure Star/APPT will ask the same question, along with telling who ever won the seat to beat it. |
