This week's PartyPoker Weekly brings you details on the routes to the 2012 World Series of Poker, information on the Pokerfest series, Tony G having another little rant and an interview with one of the hottest properties in tournament poker, Simon Ravnsbaek.
The 2012 World Series of Poker is just around the corner and you could be jetting off to Las Vegas, Nevada and taking part in poker's biggest and richest tournament of the year, the WSOP Main Event. Last year's Main Event was won by the German youngster Pius Heinz who walked away with more than $8,700,000 and was thrust into the limelight. This year it could be you if you manage to secure yourself a WSOP package worth $14,000!
Qualifiers are open on PartyPoker and will run right up to Jun. 17 so there is still plenty of time to win a $14,000 package; which consists of:
There are daily freeroll qualifier tournaments taking place so you could win your package for absolutely no financial outlay at all. There are also a plethora of other satellite tournaments running that have buy-ins ranging from just $2 to $80 that feed into the weekly $700+$50 WSOP Satellite.
This particular tournament kicks off at 14:50ET every Sunday and awards one $14,000 package for every 20 entrants!
Someone has to become this year's WSOP Main Event champion and it could be you who is that person; sporting PartyPoker colours.
Tony G Recalls His €100,000 Super High Roller Exploits
Everyone's favourite poker villain Tony G recently took part in the Super High Roller event at the EPT Grand Final, a tournament that cost a massive €100,000 to enter. Although he did not make it into the money places he did find himself in the headlines after he folded pocket kings preflop.
In his personal blog on the PartyPoker Blog he recalled making "that" fold.
Pokerfest II Online is in full swing, 23 of the 47 events have been completed and hundreds of thousands of dollars awarded in prize money.
Yesterday saw 1,529 players turn out for the $200+$15 buy-in $350,000 guaranteed No limit Hold'em tournament, narrowly missing out of the guarantee but PartyPoker put in the extra money to make sure $350,000 was paid out. In the end, at around 06:30 CET, "spowi007" and "evYpe15" struck a deal heads-up that saw them walk away with $57,974.58 and $50,525.43 respectively.
The second edition of the superb online festival boasts no fewer than 47 events between April 22 and May 22 with a staggering $3,500,000 in guarantees and a Main Event that will pay out at least $1,000,000! Along with the 47 tournaments there will be multiple side events taking place between April 22 and May 6, so if tournament poker is your thing then you will only need to play on PartyPoker in the coming month!

Not only are the prize pools in the Pokerfest events absolutely huge but there is also the added bonus of Pokerfest jackpots too! PartyPoker is giving away prizes to jackpot winners that include a 2012 World Series of Poker package worth $14,000, iPads, and cash bonuses of between $2,500 and $20,000.

Simon Ravnsbaek of Denmark is one of the most talented poker players on the European tournament circuit, with a whole host of cashes and final table appearances in major live events. But he is also a big winner in online poker circles too, playing short-handed and heads-up No Limit Hold'em cash games and multi-table tournaments.
The PartyPoker Blog spoke to him recently and the down-to-Earth pro gave his thoughts on all things poker. Check out the entry to find out what he said and to discover why he will never go broke.
