Making a dent!
Put my first meaningful dent into the downswing yesterday, with a third in the Daily 90k for a little over 8k. I made the final table 2/9 and played ok early against a very weak field but lost a huge pot AA < QTs and had to aggro my way back into it. I thought I adjusted okay but I made one bad double barrel bluff and probably a questionable threebet shove with Q9 on KxQ9 vs a tight villain, but otherwise I played well and just got unlucky at the end with JJ < ATo aipf three handed for two-thirds of the chips in play. But yeah, it felt good to play relatively well in a bigger tourney, have a proper up day and take a decent chunk out of makeup before crazy Monday.
I am still feeling really weak from the flu (and probably from not eating food/staying in bed for days) so we are taking this weekend relatively easy... got the voting out of the way early (and learnt more about The Climate Skeptics and The Secular Party which was interesting), grabbed a quick coffee and ducked back inside before it started raining again. I really had no energy to do anything (had toyed with the idea of playing the $550/250k Vic Champs event at Crown), so I watched Mell play a few MTTs on Pokerstars while reading the rest of the paper, and now just kicking back waiting for the roast to cook
