Hey guys, well I decided to reward myself with a day off midweek after putting in my biggest volume month ever (1048 MTTs over 23 sessions), getting a new high score and beating my best monthly profit by about 1k or so.

After the fuper score things continued to go well, I played over the US Thanksgiving period which was ABSURDLY soft with huge overlay in anything decent. I actually loaded up as many tables as I could handle, and ended up +6k for the day with a 2nd in the UB 130/25k, 3rd FTP 5r, 4th Big Double and 5th UB 44/4k (learn to close, etc).

Things are really starting to get busy towards Xmas, we have a bunch of people visiting from all over the place this month and lots of social commitments so it'll be good to get some variety happening! On the weekend I drove Mell and some of her girlfriends down to Torquay to participate in the Rip Curl Girls Go Surfing Day. The weather was absolutely awful and the swell wasn't that decent either, but they did really well to brave the chilly conditions and get a few waves at Point Addis.

A few of them are keen to try it out again soon, so it's possible I'll have a few surfing partners over summer I have been really slack with surfing this year which kind of makes me sad; I'm so used to living <10 minutes from the beach in Sydney/Perth that the hour-plus trip to either Torquay or Sorrento seems kind of prohibitive even though it shouldn't be. A poker mate (eddy) lives down near Torquay and has always been happy to show me a few of the breaks so I really should get my act together over summer and get out there a bit more.

Over the weekend we also had lunch at Naked For Satan in Fitzroy, which is a relatively new pintxos and vodka bar. The food was brilliant, unique in the sense that you walk up to the main bar, pick out the pintxos (tapas) that you want, then you put all the toothpicks in a little cup when you're done eating and then pay at the end based on how many toothpicks are in the cup. They also come around with fresh pintxos from the kitchen which is pretty neat, and they have a huge selection of vodkas if you're so inclined (I tried Russian Standard which I really liked, quite grainy/wheaty). I'm trying to remember some of the dishes, I had a honey eggplant chip with blue cheese, also an indian riceball with chutney, nothing disappointed. It's also ridiculously cheap, at peak times tapas are $2/each and they have a 50c special from 12-4pm weekdays so I daresay if a session goes bad I have a new place for lunch

Last night I headed to Crown for a few hours to watch my backer on the final table of some APL tourney, he ended up getting third for $45k in what was a really awful structure (average stack on the FT was between 8-15bb most of the time) but ridiculously soft. Still thinking about whether or not I want to squeeze APPT Sydney into an already busy December, after listening to randoms discuss poker in the crowd and watching some of the lol plays last night I have that mixture of puking/salivating at how annoying/soft live is. Guess I'll play a few sats this week and figure it out from there.
