    hey mate,

Been looking around too and its pretty hard to find regular cash home games around here. There are cash games at local pubs hosted by apl, ontilt events etc but besides from that its quite hard. If you manage to host one or find any home games feel free to pm me.

    Cheers

State laws must differ, in NSW only the casino can legally host cash games.

I'm pretty sure gambling anywhere outside the casino is illegal unless you have a gambling license to host games, like APL and ONTilt events ( you can look them up ). However people still do host outside cash games ( I have been to a few ) but not regularly due to work etc.

I'm pretty sure APL does not have a license to host cash games. At least not in NSW, where the casino has exclusive rights to host them.

It's not heresay either. I remember asking a tournament director and being told this. If there were cash games at these donkaments trust me I would want to know about it.

You still need permits to host these type of games by law. The venues which they're hosted in are sub contracted out to APL to host these games in return for players buying drinks at their bar. APL is pretty big in Australia and has been in the newspapers etc, so giving those facts I am pretty sure they would have to have some form of legal license/agreement to host these games. There are always at least 1 table cash games running at APL at venues at the $30 buy in tournaments, after 7.00.
