lol at advertising the 'maximum prize pool' with an asterisk, why even bother if there's no guarantee in place.

that said, looks like a good tournament, i would have definitely played it if i wasn't already committed to go to APPT Seoul which overlaps with it

keep up the good work, it's good to see we finally have a competently run poker room in QLD

Why a 50,000 start stack....so everyone can shuffle their chips and at first break , congregate in smoking area and say " yeah, i dropped a few chips, down to like 47.3k,,,you ? well, i dragged a few pots, i got like 54.1k,,,,and the guy across from me, he is dumping chips like he gotta catch a bus, he is down to like 44.1k !!!! n0000b !!

The tourney that has this many chips,,,,hmmm,,,the first few hrs will be irrelevant when it comes to final outcome.

They just give the impression of value..

Doubt it will attract more runners due to 50k stack

Best events i remember were the dollar for dollar events in the United States.

$2,000 entry, u got 2000 in chips. Blinds would start small,,,yet every decision u put to another was a real CASH decision they could relate to ,,,more so than betting someone nmany many thousands in chips and they just chase you down as they have little appreciation for the $ value.

All the best to all participating......

The format is a first for Queensland and if it is as successful as it is in Europe then it will be a great event.

    Thanks for your comments

It was a typo that should read 7:30pm for Feb 10th Level 1.

There will be plenty of seats for the early sats but I expect the demand to increase as it gets closer to the Main Event.
