Crown, 1/2 NL, OE Straight Draw on flop2007 07 25
12:21 am
Been on table since it opened with these guys. UTG has won a couple of all-ins, both with AA & KK, but had frequently bet 10's and 15's on flop to take it down. (stack of $46 to start hand, lost a few recent hands I think)Player B (on my left) has limped a lot, and has normally folded to bets on flop, or over-bet to win pot uncontested. (around 100 stack)BB has won a couple of nice pots with big bets, biggest stack (over 100)I was sitting on about $70, but have been completely card dead, so maybe image showing tightness (only play in last hour was push with AA that was called by KQ).Dealt KJ, UTG limped, i call, Player B calls, two other callers, BB pops to $6. Only aforementioned players call, and UTG + 1. Flop: QT8 rainbow.UTG bets 20, leaving behind another 20, folded by UTG + 1 to me. Two players still to act. I have open ended straight draw against his unknown, because in this situation no one has called him yet, so he could be on weak draw, or hit any top pair or two pair. The way he has played his big pockets has always been to re-raise pre-flop, so I rule out QQ +, and even AQ i think instantly. Options ? - Fold- put him all-in (raise another 20, leaving myself around 35)- Call- All-inThoughts appreciated.

Found this a few hours ago, not sure how old it is, but its new to me and cracked me up. A guy doing a card trick version of a famous joke I have never understood. Little bit rude, so watch with caution, but still watch.http://www.yourdailymedia.com/media/1135340210Enjoy

Hitting your set advice2006 04 08
08:56 pm
Just curious as to how people here feel is the best way to play after hitting your set, especially a low card on flop, to get the most out of your opponents. Got pocket pairs three hands in a row and hit set on all occasions off flop with minimum input pre-flop, and over cards present on board. Yet, played it differently each time (small raise, check-raise attempt, check). Which do you feel is BEST to get most out of your opponent, or how do you play this situation? Cheers
