Posted 7 minutes ago

Jason Gray raised to 2,500 in middle position, Team PokerStars Pro Pius Heinz three-bet to 6,800, one seat to his left, and Aage Ravn four-bet jammed for around 30,000 in the next seat. Gray folded and Heinz made the call to take us to showdown.

Ravn {9-Clubs} {9-Diamonds}

Board: {8-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds} {3-Spades} {2-Hearts} {2-Spades}

This is My Table

Posted 11 minutes ago

Eliiot Smith has moved up through the gears and is mixing it up in every pot. This is despite being on the same table as Team PokerStars Pros Humberto Brenes, Daniel Negreanu and Marcel Luske, along with Freddy Deeb.

Smith won three small pots on the bounce, the last against Deeb.

Deeb raised to 2,500 from mid position and was called by Smith (hijack), and Seamus Cahill (big blind). The flop came down {6-Clubs}{6-Spades}{a-Clubs} and only Smith called Deeb's 3,500 continuation bet. The turn was {8-Clubs} and Deeb had had enough and check-folded to Smith's 4,500 bet.

Chip Counts
Freddy Deeb 92,000 -22,600 neg
Elliot Smith 54,000 8,300 pos

Wahlroos {A-Diamonds} {A-Clubs}
Dypvik {K-Spades} {K-Diamonds}

Board: {Q-Clubs} {J-Hearts} {2-Hearts} {6-Spades} {8-Diamonds}

A double up for Wahlroos and life support for Dypvik.

Borge Dypvik 15,000 -31,200 neg

Easy Poker for Pius

Posted 21 minutes ago

Team PokerStars Pro Pius Heinz made a standard raise from the cutoff and Christophe Benzimra defended his big blind. The dealer laid {7-Spades} {6-Hearts} {6-Spades} on the flop and Benzimra check-called a 2,500 Heinz bet. The turn of {5-Spades} was checked through and we arrived at the {A-Hearts} on the river. Benzimra checked and as Heinz was making his river bet he folded his hand.

Speaking of Heinz, Lynn Gilmartin spoke with him yesterday which you can watch here:

Chip Counts
Pius Heinz 85,000 -2,100 neg
Christophe Benzimra 30,000 5,000 pos

Marchese Doubles Up Isabelle Mercier

Posted 1 hour 1 minute ago

Tom Marchese has lost half of his stack in the first level and the majority of it has headed the way of Isabelle Mercier. The pair just clashed, in your classic all-in pre flop coin flip situation, and Mercier came out on top.

Isabelle Mercier {A-Hearts} {K-Diamonds}
Tom Marchese {Q-} {Q-}

Board: {8-Spades} {4-Hearts} {3-Clubs} {K-Spades} {K-Hearts}

"I folded pocket fours," cried Olivier Douce.

We don't think Mercier or Marchese cared.

Chip Counts
Isabelle Mercier 70,000 46,100 pos
Tom Marchese 60,000 -52,000 neg

Toth All-In; Kabrhel Put to the Test

Posted 1 hour 1 minute ago

We joined the action at the turn and the board was showing {Q-Diamonds} {9-Hearts} {2-Clubs} {5-Spades}. The players in the hand were Day 1a chip leader Martin Kabrhel, in the hijack seat, and Team PokerStars Pro Richard Toth, in the cutoff. Kabrhel checked, Toth bet 11,500 and Kabrhel made the call. The final card was the {7-Hearts} and Toth moved all-in when checked to. Kabrhel, who hadn't stopped staring at Toth throughout the whole hand, had a little bit of think time before mucking his cards.

Chip Counts
Martin Kabrhel 149,000 -18,800 neg
Richard Toth 90,000 37,100 pos

Here Comes Johnny!

Lodden {A-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts}
Grangure {6-Hearts} {6-Diamonds}

Board: {K-Diamonds} {Q-Clubs} {2-Clubs} {7-Diamonds} {4-Clubs}

The queen on the flop doubling up Lodden.

Chip Counts
