Every year the World Series of Poker hosts a special tournament that is only open to casino employees. This particular event is usually very well attended and fiercely competitive as the players look to earn the title of champion.
Staring today in the Poker Zone of Adelaide Casino is the Casino Champs series, five tournaments that are only open to casino and poker industry employees from Australia and the Australasian region. In what could be a first for a poker festival, the Casino Champs is kicking off with the Main Event, a $330 buy-in tournament that sees players start with 20,000 chips and play to 25-minute blinds on the two starting flights, increasing to 30-minutes for Day 2.
Other events taking place are two $100 No Limit Hold'em tournaments, a $150 Pot Limit Omaha event and a $150 No Limit Hold'em Terminator tournament.
