With the World Series of Poker Asia-Pacific (WSOP-APAC) being in full swing it is easy to forget that there are scores of poker players grinding out online poker tournaments from the comfort of their own home.

The latest Australian online poker rankings remain relatively unchanged with Jonathan Karamalikis the clear number one and Matt Wakeman and Michael Federsen heading up the chasing pack. One man who has mounted a charge of late is Dean Schneider who has climbed to number eight in the rankings after a string of impressive results.

Towards the end of March, Schneider went on a real heater and couldn’t do anything wrong at the virtual felt. He won the $3.30 rebuy n PokerStars for $2,945 then the very next day took down the $55 buy-in $7,500 guaranteed, also on PokerStars, for $2,311.

A string of deep runs followed before a three-day period say Schneider finish third in the $102 buy-in Heads-Up Hyper Turbo for $1,160; finish second in the $2.20 rebuy for $2,504, win the $102 Heads-Up Hyper for $2,790; finish third in the 888 Poker $100,000 Mega Deep for $12,488 and come second in the $109 buy-in $17,500 on PokerStars for $4,230! Amazing results, we are sure you will agree.
