DefaultUltimate poker tour loses another affiliate

Just found out Ultimate Poker Tour lost another affiliate. Club Poker has left them to join NPL. (Very smart move)
So lets see UPT now has lost the following:

Poker Tournaments Aust -swap to NPL
Poker Nuts -swap to NPL
TJ Poker -swap to NPL
Club Poker -swap to NPL
Premier Poker League
Nova Poker
Poker Mania
Queen 6

Can anyone add to this list?
Can anyone tell why they keep losing affiliates along with all the venues that go along with it?

So lets see UPT now has lost the following:

Poker Tournaments Aust -swap to NPL Terminated
Poker Nuts -swap to NPL Terminated
TJ Poker -swap to NPL Terminated
Club Poker -swap to NPL Stay Tuned
Premier Poker League Darren (former owner) still owes us money
Nova Poker Busto and wow brock99 you are showing your knowledge here
Poker Mania Glad to be rid of George
Queen 6 UPT couldn't help in his area and we wish them all the best

Can anyone add to this list? Rocky and Andrew from the Hornsby area
Can anyone tell why they keep losing affiliates along with all the venues that go along with it?
To date we have written off over $23,000.00 because some of the above mentioned did not pay their commitments to major event prizepools and I simply won't let the likes of you Brock paint a picture that is an out and out lie in regards to the leagues "swapping" to NPL

TJ Poker, Poker Tournaments Australia and Pokernuts were all terminated, kicked out, or whatever term you wish to use, from our league. They all spent time on their own and by whatever means joined NPL. None have more venues or more players attending their remaining venues now, as compared with what they had under UPT with the possable exception of Kogarah Tavern and a $500 freeroll which I now see has a re-buy, add-on

Interestingly Brock you mention Nova Poker and you know full what happened to Shannon there, his league was at best, a part time interest and his failure had little to do with UPT and more to do with his time being taken on other business interests

Premier Poker has been sold to another person so I will not slander the company, however Darren the former owner still owes us a sizable sum of money. We bent over backwards to help this guy out. We sent down over 70 players to his pinnacle tournament, a $110 buy-in with a $20k prizepool which was only a success when we gave it full support, he was another that thought he could do it on his own and tried at least twice to run another one with no success. He gave us a ludicrous reason for not paying into the UPT final. His staff neglected to inform the players that had qualified for the UPT final that they had qualified. 1 player turned up (he checked our website) We even offered to put his players into another similar event

Pokermania just couldnt get players to their venues, probably the "dealer charge" which I hear is up to $5.00 per player (yes the player pays it and it does not go into the prizepool) We shook hands and parted company. We have a time clause in our agreements that basically says that we don't touch each other for a given time, the jury is still out on this guy

Queen 6 poker, no issues, UPT had it's finals well away from his venues and there was not much player interest because of their location, so be it and we wish them all the best

Simply by signing onto the UPT does not mean that you can just kick back and things will magically happen, whilst UPT is a big part of the solution, company owners still need to put some effort into their own product
Most that joined UPT did so because they knew that they could be doing better, after all it's a compadative market

It will be interesting to see if TJ Poker and Poker Club Tour work together under NPL

Speaking for my league, No Limit Poker, I have never been doing better. I now have more player at more venues than ever before and that's thanks to UPT
FYI no affilliate has ever paid more than No Limit Poker or Wild West Poker to be part of UPT, in other words WWP and NLP have always subsidised our partners, FACT....
WWP and NLP make no profit from our partners, FACT...
Can the same be said for our competition?

Cheers Dean
