DefaultAttn: Danny McDonagh (Need Some Advice/Help)

Hey Danny

I was just wondering whether its possible to use the APPT CEBU package I won on PS and pay the extra to register for the APPT Sydney.

My wife has just surprised me by getting a holiday organised to the Gold Coast (for my birthday) slap bang when CEBU is on. If there is a way to get this organised can you please let me know how?

Alternatively, is there a way to unregister and have the funds credited as tourney funds?

Thanks

Actually if you can't make it to Tourney A I think they would be fine with you converting it to Tourney B. The rules say no, but their customer support is all powerful and loving.

You did email support though right? PNW is not the best way to contact Stars.

Unfortunately PokerStars live event packages can't be transferred to other events or converted to cash/T$. You have to play the first seat you win or forfeit the package. I know this isn't the answer you're looking for and I apologise for that, but this policy comes from way above Danny and I.

Hope things work out and you can make it to Cebu.

Cheers,
Luke

Yeah, this.

While I responded pretty quickly this time, that's by pure chance. All APPT queries should go to and all ANZPT queries to for a faster response.

All other PokerStars queries should be directed to

Thanks.

Can you transfer the registration to another PokerStars player?

I was actually trying to look for this on the terms and condirions and all i got was
10. Unregistration: Most tournaments allow unregistration until a few minutes before the event begins. The exact time at which unregistration closes is specified in the ‘Tournament Info’ dialog for each tournament, and may vary from event to event. Players who have won their seats through a satellite may unregister if the event allows it; however, they will receive tournament money (T-Money) or an entry ticket in exchange for their seat. T-Money can be used to buy in to other PokerStars tournaments. See the T-Money page for more information.

Note that some satellites will end after the start of the target tournament but during Extended Registration. In such cases, the satellite winners will be seated directly into the target event at the conclusion of the satellite.

Note: Registration and unregistration times may vary between tournaments of different types. Not all tournaments allow unregistration – such tournaments will usually be denoted at the time of registration. Check the tournament lobby and tournament info dialog for the exact registration details for each tournament. PokerStars reserves the right to alter registration and unregistration times without prior notice.

I wasnt notified "at the time of registration" - Not all tournaments allow unregistration – such tournaments will usually be denoted at the time of registration.

I dont want to be painful, i am happy to pay the extra $$$ and register for APPT Sydney or see if someone out there wants the seat/accomm. I guess this is a pretty exceptional circumstance hence the reason why i am asking Pokerstars for some leniency
i guess i am wanting pokerstars to look the clause "PokerStars reserves the right, at any time, to alter these terms and conditions at is sole discretion.
